FOOTBALL legends Billy McNeill and John Greig won plenty of honours in their playing days.
But being on opposite sides of the Old Firm meant they never both won a title on the same day .... until now.
Celtic star Billy and Rangers idol John joined actress and comedienne Elaine C Smith at Glasgow University to receive an honorary degree.
All three can now use the title Doctor of the University after the ceremony, which was part of the Commemoration Day celebrations.
Also honoured were Professor David Breeze, head of special heritage projects at Historic Scotland, and Professor John Haldane, professor of philosophy and director of the Centre for Ethics, Philosophy and Public Affairs at the University of St Andrews.
